The Chronicles of Narnia were a series of books about a mythical place called Narnia.  Narnia was reached by entering the back of a wardrobe in a certain house.  The four characters in these books all discover this mythical land in the back of their relative’s wardrobe one day while playing hide and go seek.  There were seven books about their adventures in Narnia.  Eventually, a movie was made that chronicled the first few books in the Narnia series.  If your child, like many others, loved the books and loved the movie, then it might be a special treat for him or her to have a Chronicles of Narnia themed birthday party.  In the movie, there is a famous scene where all of the “good guys,” including the creator of Narnia, Aslan, are gathered, preparing for war against the evil forces of the White Witch.  If you had your party in an open field, with tents and replicas of the characters set up around the party, it would be very reminiscent of the movie scene.  The birthday invitations for a Chronicles of Narnia birthday could be pretty cool, custom made or possibly found after a long search.
